JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — JWF industries is expanding to West Virginia, according to company officials. The company says this is to ensure continued production at the location that was previously operated by sunshine metals. The new 80,000 square-foot manufacturing plant will be managed by its Johnstown headquarters. The company says this new location will allow them to increase capacity for large-scale manufacturing while adding more machinery and employees to support their operations.

2 rescued from balcony after massive fire erupts at Utah chapel

Harrisburg, PA — The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission announced on Wednesday that they have certified a new state record catfish. The PFBC says that 34-year-old Jonathan Pierce of Philadelphia was fishing from the bank of the Schuylkill River at East Falls on May 24, 2020, when he reeled in a massive 56-pound, 3 oz. flathead catfish. TYRONE, Pa. (WJAC) — An early afternoon gas leak turned into a homeowner’s biggest nightmare. Five people were injured, and one person was killed when a house exploded in Tyrone Monday. The Blair County Coroner’s office confirmed late Monday that remains were recovered from one of the structures involved in the fire. Officials say an autopsy has been scheduled to identify the remains and determine a cause of death. According to Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers, 64-year-old Samuel Zaffuto, of DuBois, faces multiple counts of corrupt organizations, theft by failing to make proper deposit of funds, theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and fraud.
