Josh Gallagher to open for country artist Lee Ann Womack at IUP concert

INDIANA – Cresson native Josh Gallagher will serve as the opening act for country artist Lee Ann Womack’s performance at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex on April 20 at 8 p.m., it was announced Thursday. Gallagher, who finished in fourth place on the “The Voice” last year, has been devoting his time to the studio and has currently released three songs on iTunes, “Pick Any Small Town,” “We Always Had” and “Ain’t No Angels.

Community reacts to Kings and Queens Restaurant and Pub fire

Following Saturday's devastating fire in Stoystown that ended in the demolition of the Kings and Queens Restaurant and Pub, residents are reeling in the aftermath of the incident. Many still in shock that what was once a landmark in the community is now gone. We visited the site of the fire today where only rubble remains of the restaurant. Many people driving by stopped to view the wreckage and reflect on what happened.

Lititz firefighter rushes into burning barn, rescues dog in emotional video

LANCASTER COUNTY — You might want to grab some tissues before reading this story. A Lititz Fire Company firefighter was caught on camera over the weekend rushing into a barn engulfed in flames to rescue the owner's pet dog from the blaze. On Saturday, the Lititz Fire Company, along with other fire companies, were dispatched to the 900 block of Erbs Quarry Road in Warwick Township for a barn fire. As the video begins, a resident of the farm adjacent to the barn fire is seen telling Lititz Fire Company firefighter Ryan Balmer that his was still inside the burning structure.

One person killed in Clearfield Co. fire, family confirms; details still limited

UPDATE:GULICH TWP., Pa. (WJAC) — One person was killed in Saturday night's fire in Gulich Township, according to the family of the victim. State police are still investigating the fire and have not released further details. Crews from four different counties were dispatched to the garage fire along Simpson Street around 7:15 p.m. Saturday. The identity of the victim has not yet been released. The family also confirmed to 6 News that a dog was killed in the fire as well.

Philipsburg woman sentenced up to 8 years in prison for role in fatal overdose

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — A Philipsburg woman will spend several years behind bars for her role in the fatal overdose of a 26-year-old man earlier this year. Shianna Lambert appeared in Centre County court on Tuesday where she was sentenced to serve 4 to 8 years in state prison. In June, Lambert was charged with drug delivery resulting in death following the investigation into a fatal fentanyl overdose in Spring Township.

Qwante Rose found guilty in murder of Johnstown high schooler Jaydin Sanderson

VERDICTJOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A Cambria County jury Tuesday found Qwante Rose guilty in the 2022 slaying of Jaydin Sanderson (pictured below). Qwante Rose was found guilty of first degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. DAY 4 The prosecution and defense each rested its case on Monday, in the case accusing Qwante Rose of killing Jaydin Sanderson. Two final witnesses were called by prosecutors on Monday. The witnesses both claim that on separate occasions they heard Rose talk about the incident.

Beaver Stadium sells beer inside to all fans for first time
