Lawnmowers sold at Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware recalled due to injury hazard

UNDATED (WKRC) - Lawnmowers sold at Lowes, Home Depot and Ace Hardware, among other stores, were recalled due to a possible injury hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), around 200 additional lawnmowers were recalled on top of the 391,800 lawnmowers and pressure washer engines recalled in September of 2023. Per the organization, the recall involves the following Honda products: Honda HRN216 lawnmowerHonda HRX217K6 lawnmowerGCV170/200 G5B general-purpose engines used in power washers and lawnmower replacement enginesThe CPSC reported that the improperly manufactured camshafts in the engine can potentially cause the starter rope to suddenly retract when pulling to start, which could cause an injury.

MEYSERSDALE -- According to a survey of registered nurses from 2012 to 2013, there are more than 160,000 nurses in Pennsylvania. West Hills police investigate armed robbery at McDonald's

WESTMONT- The West Hills Regional Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a local fast food restaurant in Lower Yoder Township. Captain George Musulin said a suspect walked into the McDonald's on Plaza Drive wearing a mask and armed with a handgun just before 11 p.m. Saturday. Musulin said an employee was assaulted when the suspect pushed and shoved him or her over the counter. Police said the black man then directed three employees into the back office where a safe is.

Black bear captured, tranquilized after roaming through NE DC backyards

WASHINGTON (7News) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and animal control crews safely captured a black bear that was running in the backyards of homes in northeast D.C. Friday morning, officials said. Just before 7:30 a.m., MPD said that a large black bear was spotted in a tree in the 1300 block of Franklin Street, NE. 7News was at the scene when the animal climbed down just before 10 a.m.

National Guard troops called to Washington, D.C., ahead of convoy protests
