Custodian at Tennessee senior center accused of stealing, pawning jewelry

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. (WTVC) — A woman who worked on the cleaning staff of a Tennessee senior living center is accused of stealing items precious to patients there and pawning them off, according to authorities. Police in Chattanooga arrested 48-year-old Jennifer Rose Kilgore, of Whitwell, on Thursday. An affidavit obtained by WTVC said Kilgore had been recently hired at Signal Mountain Senior Living. A resident there called police to say an emerald ring had been taken from her residence.

Groundbreaking ceremony held for new Ebensburg dog park

Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — A groundbreaking ceremony was held Monday for a Cambria County dog park that's been four years in the making. The Ebensburg Dog Park is being constructed on borough property near Lake Rowena. Plans include large and small dog areas, dog drinking stations, benches and pavilions on an acre and a half of land. Chances will be raffled off for a chance to be the first large and small dog into the new park, and officials say this is just one more great amenity for the area.

Somerset County DA Thomas prohibited from duties in courthouse, protection order dismissed

SOMERSET, Pa. (WJAC) — Somerset County's president judge has ruled that District Attorney Jeff Thomas can no longer conduct his duties as the chief prosecutor of the county in the courthouse, while an out-of-county senior judge agreed to dismiss a protection from abuse order filed by the victim of the sexual assault case against him. The motions come two days after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Counsel suspended Thomas' law license indefinitely while the legal proceedings against him play out.

The agency said she needed to repay thousands of dollars after it found an error, despite letters years ago that guaranteed that she was receiving the right amount. Charges dropped against top golfer Scottie Scheffler after arrest during PGA Championship

(WSYX) — Prosecutors in Louisville, Kentucky, have dropped all charges against top golfer Scottie Scheffler following his arrest during the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club this month. Jefferson County Attorney Mike O'Connell spoke in court Wednesday, asking the judge to dismiss the charges. Based upon the totality of the evidence, my office cannot move forward in the prosecution of the charges filed against Mr. Scheffler," O'Connell said during the hearing that lasted less than 10 minutes.

Israeli army recovers bodies of 3 more hostages from Gaza

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — The bodies of three more hostages killed on Oct 7. were recovered overnight from Gaza, Israel's army said Friday, as the top United Nations court prepares to rule on whether Israel must halt its military operations and withdraw from the enclave. The bodies of Hanan Yablonka, Michel Nisenbaum, and Orion Hernandez Radoux were found and their families have been notified. The army said they were killed on the day of the attack at the Mefalsim intersection and their bodies were taken to Gaza.
